About the report
Ecotoxicology is the study of the effects of pollutants on the environment and its biota. It is a relatively new and continually changing science, always seeking the best assessment of potential and present chemical hazards. Aquatic toxicology, a component of ecotoxicology that focuses on aquatic ecosystems, has received increasing attention over the last few decades as the problems of water pollution are faced in both industrialised and developing countries.
