Application for existing stocks wildlife trade operation
About the application
The Department of the Environment and Energy received an application for an existing stocks wildlife trade operation from Abrolhos Coral and Live Rock in June 2017. The application will be used to assess the operation for the purposes of Part 13A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
Consideration will be given to declaring the Abrolhos Coral and Live Rock operation as managed consistent with the Western Australian Fish Resources Management Act 1994 and the Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995, as an approved wildlife trade operation under section 303FN of the EPBC Act. This declaration will apply to product harvested by the operation between 2010 and 2016.
In accordance with the provisions of section 303FR of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal.
