About the standards
We rely on accurate and consistent location data for on-ground investment areas. The data is represented as mapped polygons. We use it when planning, monitoring and reporting on our programs.
With this data, we can:
- compare likely environmental benefits from different proposed activities
- report on cumulative outputs and likely benefits across landscapes and over time.
The standards set out:
- requirements for data storage and sharing
- how to use fine-scale mapping for different kinds of on-ground activities.
