About the plan
The plan Ongoing modernisation of conservation planning under the EPBC Act sets out the Committee’s approach to modernising conservation planning. It identifies actions which the Committee or the department is undertaking to ensure conservation planning remains fit-for-purpose, efficient and best practice. Importantly, the plan provides the history, legal context and rationale for the current review of recovery plan decisions, and lays out the principles which the Committee uses in determining which entities are suitable for a proposed subsequent recovery plan decision.
