About the application
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has received an application for a permit to kill, injure, take, trade, keep or move a threatened species or community under part 13 section 200 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The application is to undertake remediation works at Arundel Creek that will interfere with Natural Temperate Grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plain, and Growling Grass Frog (Litoria raniformis) at Melbourne Airport. Natural Temperate Grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plain is a listed threatened ecological community under the EPBC Act. Growling Grass Frog is a listed threatened species under the EPBC Act.

How can I get involved?
If the application for a permit to conduct the activity is approved the permit will be valid for a period of up to five years.
In accordance with the provisions of section 200(3) of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal.
