About the application
The Department of the Environment and Energy has received an application for a permit to kill, injure, take, trade, keep or move a listed threatened species in a Commonwealth Area under Part 13, section 200 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The application is to construct a commercial development at Challenger Court, Essendon Fields, Victoria. The construction works will involve permanent impacts to the critically endangered Natural Temperate Grassland of the Victorian Volcanic Plain (NTGVVP). NTGVVP is a listed threatened ecological community under the EPBC Act.

If the application for a permit to conduct the activity is approved the permit may be valid for a period of up to five years.
