About the application
The Department of the Environment and Energy has received an application for a permit to kill, injure, take, trade, keep or move a listed threatened species and a community in a Commonwealth Area under Part 13, section 200 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The application is to conduct geotechnical testing within a Natural Temperate Grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic plain at Melbourne Airport, Victoria. The project is located adjacent to Deep Creek, which is known to be habitat for the Growling Grass Frog (Litoria raniformis). The Growling Grass Frog and Natural Temperate Grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains are listed as threatened under the EPBC Act.

If the application for a permit to conduct the activity is approved the permit will be valid for a period of up to five years.
In accordance with the provisions of section 200(3) of the EPBC Act, you are invited to comment on this proposal.
