Extensions to EPBC Act listing assessment and decision timeframes

The Minister has extended the listing decision timeframe on the following items

Petauroides volans (Greater Glider (southern and central))

In accordance with Section 194Q of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (1999), the Minister’s decision timeframe for the listing decision has been extended from 9 March 2022 to 9 July 2022 to allow for further consideration of the assessment.

Petauroides minor (Greater Glider (northern))

In accordance with Section 194Q of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (1999), the Minister’s decision timeframe for the listing decision has been extended from 9 March 2022 to 9 July 2022 to allow for further consideration of the assessment.


Extensions to EPBC Act listing assessment timeframes

Acacia baueri subsp. aspera

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable further collaboration with New South Wales to resolve taxonomic issues and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acacia blayana

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable further sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data in collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acacia castorum (Peak Range Wattle)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 to enable further collaboration with Queensland and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acacia constablei (Narrabarba Wattle)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data in further collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acacia courtii (Northern Brother Wattle)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acacia gordonii

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data in collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acacia lanigera var. gracilipes

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data, further collaboration with range states and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Acrodipsas illidgei (Illidge's Ant-blue, Mangrove Ant-blue)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable further collaboration with Queensland and New South Wales and for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Andersonia axilliflora (Giant Andersonia)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data in collaboration with Western Australia and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Anilios insperatus (Fassifern Blind Snake)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 to enable further collaboration with Queensland and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Asperula tetraphylla (Broad-leaf Woodruff)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 to enable sufficient time for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Asterolasia asteriscophora subsp albiflora (White Star Bush)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 September 2018 until 30 September 2019 to allow for technical analysis and consultation with State and Territory government agencies. A further extension has been approved from 30 September 2019 to 30 October 2020 to enable further collaboration with Victoria through the Common Assessment Method to resolve technical points relating to the assessment. A further extension has been approved from 30 October 2020 to 30 April 2021 to enable further collaboration with Victoria on the assessment through the Common Assessment Method. The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2021 to 30 October 2021 to enable further collaboration with Victoria through the Common Assessment Method to revise the assessment to incorporate new information and complete consultation. A further extension has been approved from 30 October 2021 to 30 April 2022 to allow additional time for further consultation with Victoria and allow for sufficient time for public consultation and finalise the assessment.

Astrotricha sp. (Wingan Inlet J.A.Jeanes 2268) (Wingan Star-hair)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 enable further collaboration with Victoria on the assessment through the Common Assessment Method and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Bertya mollissima

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data in collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Bidyanus bidyanus (Silver Perch)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 March 2021 to 30 October 2021 to enable further collaboration with range states through the Common Assessment Method. A further extension has been approved from 30 October 2021 to 30 April 2022 to enable further collaboration with range states through the Common Assessment Method and to allow for sufficient time to finalise the assessment.

Boronia anemonifolia subsp. wadbilligensis

Boronia deanei (Deane's Boronia)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 to enable sufficient time for assessment of two subspecies, public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Caladenia tessellata (Thick-lipped Spider-orchid)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 to enable sufficient time for collaboration with New South Wales and Victoria and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Callitris oblonga subsp. corangensis

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Calochilus pulchellus (Pretty Beard Orchid)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 September 2019 to 30 October 2020 to enable further collaboration with New South Wales through the Common Assessment Method to resolve technical points relating to the assessment. A further extension from 30 October 2020 to 30 April 2021 has been approved to enable further collaboration with New South Wales through the Common Assessment Method to resolve technical points relating to the assessment. The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2021 to 30 October 2021 to enable further collaboration with New South Wales and Victoria through the Common Assessment Method following new information about the species range becoming available. The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 October 2021 to 30 April 2022 to enable further collaboration with New South Wales and Victoria through the Common Assessment Method, to resolve technical points and finalise the assessment.

Cassinia theodorii (Kaputar Cassinia)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 April 2023 to enable sufficient time for collection of post-bushfire survey data in collaboration with New South Wales and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Centroberyx affinis (Redfish)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 September 2021 to 30 October 2022 to allow sufficient time for consultation with fisheries agencies and the public and to finalise the assessment.

A further extension has been approved from 30 October 2022 to 30 October 2023 to allow for the current prioritisation of bushfire affected entities and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Cephaloscyllium albipinnum (Whitefin Swell-shark)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 October 2022 to 30 October 2023 to allow for the current prioritisation of bushfire affected entities and to allow for public consultation to be undertaken and to finalise the assessment.

Choretrum spicatum subsp. spicatum (Spiked Sour-bush)

Liopholis montana (Mountain Skink)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 October 2021 to 30 April 2022 to enable further collaboration with Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Victoria on the assessment, and for the Committee to finalise the assessment.

Lissolepis coventryi (Swamp Skink)

The assessment timeframe for this species has been extended from 30 April 2022 to 30 October 2022 to enable incorporation of additional spatial data provided during the public consultation period and to finalise the assessment.
