National Biosecurity Forum - overview

The National Biosecurity Forum brings together key stakeholders to discuss the challenges, opportunities and the innovative approaches to protecting Australia’s biosecurity system.

The annual national forum is held on behalf of the National Biosecurity Committee (NBC).

The Australian Biosecurity Awards are held in conjunction with the forum. These recognise individuals, groups and organisations that have shown a commitment to supporting and promoting Australia’s biosecurity and the systems that uphold it.

To learn more, contact the Biosecurity Roundtable Secretariat.

Background

In 2016, the NBC introduced a series of roundtables in each state and territory. These take place throughout the year. The roundtables conclude with the National Biosecurity Forum.

Since 2019, state and territory governments have been responsible for delivering their roundtables. We coordinate and deliver the National Biosecurity Forum.
