Comparison of Australian plague locust and Urnisa guttulosa nymphs
Australian Plague Locust - Chortoicetes terminifera
- Urnisa body is much more mottled in colour than the plague locust
- thorax of Urnisa lacks the 'X' mark as seen in the plague locust
Urnisa adults do not form into dense bands as seen in the plague locust. Urnisa is only found in red sandy country.
