- AOs with the job function TRE3001:2 Export phytosanitary treatments – onshore cold treatment can now use PEMS to record OSCT calibrations.
- The OSCT calibration can only be recorded in PEMS if the associated horticulture inspection has been recorded in PEMS.
- A new appendix (Appendix I) that explains how to use PEMS to record OSCT calibrations has been added to the Reference: Plant Export Management System Authorised Officer user guide.
- A video tutorial demonstrating how to use PEMS to record OSCT calibrations is in development and should be available later in the year.
PEMS is an IT system that is used to capture and store information relating to the export of plants and plant products from Australia, including plant product export inspection, calibration results and transport units.
In May 2019, PEMS was made available to all plant export external AOs, exporters, EDI users and registered establishment executives, across Australia.
Businesses that use third party plant exports software programs are exempt from using PEMS until system integration work is completed.
If you have any questions regarding this IAN please email PEMS Administrator.
