Purpose
To notify exporters that the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has approved the use of the “Health Certificate for the Export of Assorted Foods” for the export of Australian blanched almonds to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

- Following representation by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has approved Australian Health Certification for the export of Australian blanched almonds to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The Certificate approved for use is, “Health Certificate for the Export of Assorted Foods,” template number AFSA1 with additional endorsement 5201.

The food products are safe and fit for human consumption. The food product(s) was handled at an establishment that has been subjected to inspections by the competent authority and/or officially recognised body and implements a food safety management system based on HACCP principles or an equivalent system.
- Blanched almonds are considered a processed plant product, no phytosanitary certificate is required to accompany the consignment.
