The forum is a great opportunity to see how the 8 Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hubs across Australia are harnessing innovative tools and technologies to help farmers and communities build more drought resilient businesses, landscapes and regions.
Themes for the 2022 Forum are:
- economic, environmental, and social drought resilience—including mental health
- collaboration
- extension and adoption of science and technology by farmers.
Speakers include farmers, ag tech entrepreneurs, leading researchers, natural resource managers, resilience experts and industry group representatives.
The forum’s sessions are delivered in a hybrid format across 3 days, giving you the flexibility to attend interactive online sessions as well as in-person events in hub regions.
This means wherever you are across the country, you can connect with other farmers and practitioners and see how hub activities are helping our regions get ready for future droughts.
Come and join us for the second Science to Practice forum.
Watch the 2021 Forum
The inaugural Science to Practice forum introduced a new era in drought resilience and innovation. The eight new Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hubs showcased their co-design priorities and other experts gave engaging presentations on the triple bottom line of drought resilience: increased economic, environmental and social resilience.
More than 800 participants engaged with over 40 presentations across three days, joining online or at events across Australia.
The Department thanks everyone who helped make the inaugural Science to Practice Forum a success.
Video recordings of the Forum are available below. As they are recordings of a live event, references to open polls and other interactive features are no longer available.
